Hamilton, ON – Certified Collision Care announced today that Kirmac Collision and Autoglass has achieved official OEM Certification by FCA Canada as a Mopar Certified Collision Repair Facility, and are Ford National Body Shop Network Certified at its Coquitlam and North Richmond locations.

Founded in 1973 by Ian and Ken McIntosh, Kirmac currently operates 16 locations in the Metro Vancouver market.  Kirmac’s 17th location is slated to open in March on Schoolhouse St in Coquitlam.  Today, the family’s 2nd generation successfully participates in the business.  Ian’s son Sean and Ken’s son Mark, each oversee the locations as Directors of Operations.  Ian’s Daughter, Elisa Alexis is the Director of IT.

Kirmac has plans to continue growing in the BC market through a combination of acquisition and converting existing buildings into repair facilities.   OEM Certification is a top priority, and the organization is targeting to achieve OEM Certifications at all locations.

“We are very proud to be recognized as a Certified Collision Care Facility, and to gain OEM Certifications by FCA and Ford”, says Sean McIntosh.  “For over 44 years Kirmac has based its business on making customers our top priority.  We have consistently upgraded our investment in tools, equipment and training to ensure our repairs meet OEM specifications and are highly focused on providing our customers with safe repairs, in addition to an exceptional customer experience.  OEM Certifications further identify Kirmac’s commitment to providing excellent repairs while at the same time providing our customers with the knowledge that we have taken the critical steps necessary to become certified by their vehicle manufacturer.”

Kirmac is also very active in the communities they serve and in 2010 established Kirmac Cares for Kids.  Through Kirmac Cares for Kids, the company donates a percentage of its income from each repair to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.  The program is also supported by its employees and key business partners and this June the company will celebrate a major milestone by reaching a cumulative total contribution to date of over $2,000,000.

The Certified Collision Care program provides all qualified collision repairers the opportunity to attain OEM Certification in Canada. In order to qualify, repairers must have the proper tools, equipment, training and facilities required to repair vehicles to OEM specifications and ensure a vehicle’s fit, finish, durability, functionality, value, and safety are preserved.  Certified Collision Care has strategic partnerships with FCA Canada (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat brands) and Ford Motor Company of Canada (Ford National Body Shop Network Certification), to manage and administer their OEM certification programs.
