MISSION VIEJO, CA — A local Single mom determined to get her life back on track after recently living on the streets with her 6 year old son has been selected to receive a newly refurbished vehicle as part of Mission Viejo Auto Collision’s Recycled Rides Program.
Mission Viejo Auto Collision’s Recycled Rides program partners with insurance companies to refurbish and donate to individuals and families in need. State Farm Insurance donated the vehicle which was refurbished by MVAC team members who volunteered personal time to repair the vehicles as a way to give back and serve their community.
Mission Viejo Auto Collision selected Family Promise as their charity and Family Promise chose Nancy Zavala and her son Zeke to receive the car as well as a carload of gifts for the family. Family Promise is an organization that is transforming the lives of homeless families, “Because every child deserves a home.” At present, Family Promise is helping them get on their feet so they have a stable home. The mother is employed but it is a struggle for her to get to and from work.

About Recycled Rides: Recycled Rides is a national initiative through which National Auto Body Council members—men and women putting their superior craftsmanship to benevolent use—refurbish donated vehicles and gift them to families in need and service organizations dedicated to assisting others. The program is an intra-industry effort, so in addition to body shops donating their labor, insurers, paint suppliers, parts vendors and rental car companies are recruited to contribute in their own synergistic ways.
About the National Auto Body Council: The National Auto Body Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the image of the collision industry. Our ongoing and continued success is a direct result of the efforts and support of our sponsoring companies and membership. Please contact the National Auto Body Council directly for membership information. Call 1-888-667-7433 or go to www.autobodycouncil.org.
